Architectural Technician

Sydney, NSW · Architecture/Engineering

Get paid for every extra hour you put in and still enjoy flexible start and finish times. You can shape your day around what works for you, whether that means avoiding peak-hour commutes or finishing early some days.

Support gaining registration as an Architect, with tailored mentoring and time built in to focus on your portfolio and exams. You’ll also work across a wide variety of project types, so you won’t get stuck doing the same thing every day.

From multi-residential towers to bespoke homes and public spaces, you’ll keep developing a diverse portfolio. The projects also have a strong focus on sustainability, cultural awareness and connection to place, which will deepen your understanding of these important design principles.

And with a central office location near the main train station and bus terminal, getting there won’t add stress to your day.

What you’ll do

Technical design and documentation will be your focus, turning design concepts into detailed, accurate documentation that builders can work from. You’ll produce precise technical drawings, specifications and 3D models using ArchiCAD for all project stages - DA, tender and construction.

Regulatory and standards compliance is another key area. You’ll interpret and apply building codes, Australian Standards, NCC and local planning regulations, ensuring the design meets legal and safety requirements.

Coordination and problem solving will also be part of your work. You’ll collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants and contractors to resolve technical issues and keep everything consistent across disciplines.

What you’ll need

  • Experience producing construction documentation for multi-storey residential projects in Australia using ArchiCAD
  • A technical mindset and strong understanding of building codes and standards
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with various stakeholders
