Design Architect - Multi-Residential & Community Projects

đź’° Salary: $125,000 + Superannuation

An established design-led architecture practice is seeking a Design Architect to lead concept design on multi-residential and community projects.

The studio delivers housing, health and community projects across Australia, focusing on well-planned buildings that support residents, patients and local communities. Their work includes multi-residential developments, healthcare environments and community-focused facilities that prioritise quality design and practical outcomes.

Based in the Manly studio, you will develop project concepts, guide early design development and present ideas to clients and stakeholders. This role will give you genuine influence over the design direction of projects while working within a collaborative and experienced team.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead concept design from project brief through early design phases
• Develop sketches, diagrams and visual material to communicate design ideas
• Present design concepts to clients, stakeholders and planning authorities
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop design strategies and outcomes
• Maintain design quality and clarity throughout the design stages
• Support junior architects and graduates through guidance and feedback

What you’ll need

• Strong concept design capability, particularly in multi-residential projects
• Excellent sketching ability and/or SketchUp capability
• Proficiency in Revit
• Experience presenting design ideas to clients and approval authorities
• Ability to guide and support junior team members
• Collaborative mindset with clear communication skills
