Creative Lead Designer

A friendly and well known/established mid sized practice are seeking a Creative Lead Designer with real presence, who can make a positive contribution to their  Interior design function within their Sydney Studio.

Based in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, your role is to join sides with the Interiors Director and work on some landmark projects.

In the role as a Creative Lead Designer. you will be working with the Director on early stages of front end projects, this includes attending client meetings, pitching for upcoming projects with new and existing clients, preparing presentations and seeing your work come to life through to delivery stages. Whilst you will gain full support from the Director, this role will also come with responsibilities to provide support and mentorship to the interiors stream. It's important you are able to guide them in the right direction and oversee current projects they are working on. The most exciting part of this role is being able come up with your own creative ideas. My client is looking for someone who can come up with different creative ideas that are outside of the box to their competitors and the industry. The role is a good opportunity for someone who is strong on design and has that creative flair, they are already presenting to clients, but are keen to have more contribution as a top creative designer on the early front end stages of projects.

Essential knowledge, skills and experience:   

 

  • Permanent Residency or Citizenship required
  • Must be located in Sydney or willing to relocate within Australia
  • Qualified Interior design degree or equivalent
  • 8-10 + years minimum experience as an Interior in the Industry
  • Must be passionate and have a flair for Design
  • Ability to work in a busy team environment and to meet project deadlines
  • Understanding and ability support and manage a team of Interior Designers
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, possessing the ability to effectively prioritise projects and deliverables whilst meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work schedule for self and team and work within agreed timescales.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Be a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Proven ability in developing effective working relationships across all levels.
