Marketing and Business Development Specialist

Job Advertisement: Marketing and Business Development Specialist
About the role: The successful candidate will join the marketing team of a highly successful construction services company in Melbourne. They will play a pivotal role in preparing and launching marketing materials to existing and new potential customers. In addition, they will develop expert knowledge of the services provided and be the first point of contact for new enquires from potential customers
Responsibilities:
  • Update and maintain the company website, intranet, and other branded social media platforms.
  • Prepare and implement social media strategies.
  • Create and maintain marketing collateral, including brochures, capability statements, fee proposals, business cards, and reports, using InDesign in collaboration with the senior graphic designer.
  • Coordinate external and internal events, including researching suppliers and compiling guest lists.
  • Support the business in relevant awards submissions.
  • Assist in booking training, seminars, and events for technical staff.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns.
  • Assist with the creation and publication of all marketing materials in line with marketing plans.
  • Prepare monthly newsletters.
  • Manage and regularly update the client database.
  • Represent the company at a range of networking events.
  • Assist in identifying new business opportunities and support business development initiatives.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Marketing or communications degree, with 3-6 years’ experience in a similar marketing and/or business development role, preferably in a professional services or construction related company.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and able to manage tight deadlines for multiple staff members.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of the Adobe Suite, specifically InDesign.
  • Experience working with LinkedIn.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Interest and/or experience in business development activities.
