Project Architect/ Design Practitioner

A growing architecture and design practice is seeking a Project Architect to join their Sydney team, supporting the delivery of Class 2 and Class 3 projects through the Construction Certificate phase.

The studio has established a strong presence within the multi-residential sector, delivering projects that balance design outcomes with technical resolution and compliance. Their work is delivery-focused, with a strong emphasis on coordination, documentation quality and consultant management.

You’ll be joining a collaborative team environment where senior staff remain hands-on across projects and technical delivery is highly valued. This is a studio that offers genuine responsibility and the opportunity to play a key role across project outcomes.

Role Overview

This role is suited to a Registered Architect with Design Practitioner (DP) registration who is confident leading projects through the CC phase.

You’ll be responsible for coordinating consultants, managing documentation and ensuring projects meet regulatory and compliance requirements across Class 2 and Class 3 developments.

The role requires someone technically strong, detail-oriented and comfortable acting as the key point of coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects through the Construction Certificate phase
• Coordinate external consultants including engineers, certifiers and specialists
• Review and manage architectural documentation for quality and compliance
• Ensure projects align with NCC/BCA and Australian Standards
• Lead project meetings and contribute to delivery strategies
• Support and mentor junior team members
• Manage stakeholder communication across multiple live projects

Skills & Experience

• Registered Architect with Design Practitioner (DP) registration
• Proven experience delivering projects through CC stage
• Strong experience across Class 2 and/or Class 3 projects
• ArchiCAD or Revit literate 
• Solid understanding of NCC/BCA and Australian Standards
• Strong consultant coordination and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• Leadership capability with experience mentoring junior staff
