Cost Manager (Utilities)

A leading international project and cost management consultancy is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its growing Sydney team.

Role Overview

This role is suited to a Quantity Surveyor with experience across civil and utilities projects who is looking to broaden their experience on large-scale infrastructure programmes.

You'll work across both pre-contract and post-contract services, providing commercial and cost management support throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with clients, contractors and project teams, you'll play a key role in delivering complex infrastructure projects while continuing to develop your technical and commercial expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost plans, estimates and feasibility studies across all project stages
• Manage tender documentation, procurement and contract administration
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts and financial analysis
• Assess variations, progress claims and final accounts
• Provide commercial advice to clients and project stakeholders
• Monitor project costs, risks and programme performance
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver successful project outcomes
• Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout project delivery

Skills & Experience

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Consultancy Quantity Surveying experience across civil and/or utilities projects
• Strong understanding of pre-contract and post-contract cost management
• Experience delivering infrastructure projects within Australia
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• AIQS or RICS membership, or working towards accreditation, is highly regarded
