Mid-level Interior Designer (Workplace)
Build on your interior design experience with exposure to commercial projects, technical documentation and different stages of project delivery.
An opportunity has opened up for a Mid-Level Interior Designer to join a boutique Surry Hills practice working across commercial workplace, education, hospitality and retail interiors. The studio has an established client base, including major Australian organisations, with a portfolio of award-recognised workplace projects.
The role involves supporting Senior Designers with concept development, space planning, material and furniture selections, consultant coordination and project documentation. Revit is central to the studio's workflow, with regular involvement in preparing drawing packages, developing interior details and coordinating technical information.
There is also involvement in client presentations, material specifications and project delivery, providing experience across different stages of the design process. Working within a smaller team means direct access to experienced designers and opportunities to gradually take on greater responsibility as technical knowledge and confidence develop.
What makes this role worth considering:
-
One day WFH each week, providing flexibility around the studio schedule.
-
Exposure to award-recognised projects for major Australian organisations.
-
Direct access to experienced Senior Designers and studio directors for guidance and mentoring.
-
Opportunities for career progression as experience and technical capabilities develop.
-
An established Surry Hills studio, close to Sydney's creative and design community.
What the role requires:
-
Previous experience in commercial interior design, ideally across workplace, education, hospitality or retail projects.
-
Proficiency in Revit, with experience producing interior design and construction documentation.
-
Knowledge of interior detailing, finishes and materials.
