A well-established national Quantity Surveying consultancy is seeking a Senior to Associate Quantity Surveyor to join its Brisbane office.

With a diverse client base spanning residential, healthcare, education, commercial and government sectors, the consultancy has built a strong reputation for providing trusted commercial advice across the full project lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to work on a mix of traditional Quantity Surveying services alongside strategic cost planning and built asset advisory projects.

Role Overview

This opportunity is suited to an experienced Quantity Surveyor who enjoys the technical side of cost planning and providing commercial advice to clients.

Working across both new developments and existing assets, you'll be involved in feasibility studies, cost planning, benchmarking, asset assessments and strategic cost advice while continuing to deliver traditional pre-contract Quantity Surveying services. This role offers excellent variety and would suit someone looking to broaden their experience beyond standard project cost management.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare feasibility studies and detailed cost plans across a range of sectors
• Provide strategic cost advice during the early planning and design phases
• Undertake built asset assessments and replacement cost evaluations
• Develop and maintain elemental cost plans and benchmark rates
• Review and refine cost data using live market and project information
• Prepare estimates, procurement advice and tender documentation
• Work closely with clients, architects, engineers and project stakeholders
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to project delivery

Skills & Experience

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• 7+ years' consultancy experience, ideally at Senior or Associate level
• Strong background in pre-contract Quantity Surveying and cost planning
• Experience preparing feasibility studies and detailed cost plans
• Excellent commercial acumen and client-facing communication skills
• Experience across multiple project sectors is highly regarded
• AIQS membership or working towards CQS accreditation is preferred
