Senior Interior Designer

A multiple award-winning architecture and interior design practice is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join its Sydney studio.

Known for delivering landmark residential, hospitality, commercial, mixed-use and adaptive reuse projects, this national practice has built a strong reputation for design excellence, technical capability and city-shaping work across Australia.

Their interiors are developed with a strong connection to architecture, place and user experience. Projects are considered, detailed and human-focused, giving designers the opportunity to work on spaces with depth, scale and lasting impact.

Role Overview

This opportunity is ideal for a Senior Interior Designer who enjoys taking ownership across concept design, client engagement, documentation and delivery.

Joining an established interiors team, you’ll work across hospitality, commercial, workplace, residential and mixed-use projects, contributing to design direction, materiality, detailing and project coordination.

The role would suit someone who can balance creative thinking with practical delivery, and who enjoys working closely with architects, consultants, clients and junior designers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead interior design packages across various projects
• Prepare interior documentation, drawing packages and detailed design information
• Coordinate FF&E, finishes, fixtures, joinery and material selections
• Present design ideas and project outcomes to clients
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, suppliers and contractors
• Review detailing, buildability and alignment with the project vision
• Mentor junior designers and support studio collaboration

Skills & Experience

• Strong portfolio across hospitality, commercial, workplace or mixed-use interiors
• Experience taking projects from concept through documentation and delivery
• Strong design sensibility with sound technical documentation skills
• Confident client-facing communication and presentation ability
• Ability to coordinate consultants, suppliers and internal teams
• Revit proficiency highly regarded
