A design-led architecture practice is looking to bring on a Project Architect to support a growing pipeline of work across Melbourne.

The studio operates across industrial, commercial and infrastructure sectors, delivering projects that balance strong design thinking with practical, commercially viable outcomes. Their work spans early feasibility through to delivery, with a clear focus on projects that require both design input and technical resolution.

Teams are structured and collaborative, with Project Architects given the autonomy to lead while still being supported by experienced leadership. It’s an environment where you’re trusted to manage your projects, communicate directly with clients and take ownership of outcomes.

Role Overview

This role is suited to a Project Architect with around 7+ years’ experience who is confident leading projects end to end.

You’ll be responsible for managing projects from early feasibility and masterplanning through to DA and delivery, ensuring coordination across consultants, internal teams and stakeholders.

There is a strong front-end design component, but equally a need for someone who understands delivery and can keep projects moving through each stage.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects from feasibility through to completion
• Manage client relationships and project communication
• Coordinate internal teams and external consultants
• Oversee design development and documentation phases
• Ensure projects meet planning, compliance and commercial requirements
• Support and guide junior team members

Skills & Experience

• Relevant architectural qualification (Bachelor or Master of Architecture)
• 7+ years’ experience within an architectural practice
• Proven experience delivering projects across industrial, commercial or infrastructure sectors
• Strong capability across feasibility, masterplanning and DA stages
• Demonstrated design capability alongside delivery experience
• Advanced Revit proficiency
• Strong communication, coordination and team leadership skills
