An established, multidisciplinary design practice is seeking a Senior Project Leader to take ownership of complex multi-residential and mixed-use projects.
This role is suited to a senior architect who is comfortable running large projects from concept through to completion, setting direction, managing risk, and leading teams with clarity and authority. You will be responsible for the overall performance of projects, balancing design quality, program, commercial realities, and stakeholder expectations.
The role requires proven experience delivering multi-residential projects in collaboration with large builders and/or developers, and confidence operating at senior client and contractor level.

The Role
As a Senior Project Leader, you will lead projects end to end and be accountable for outcomes across all phases.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading projects from concept to handover and setting delivery strategy
- Managing planning and approvals pathways including DA and CC
- Overseeing document quality and constructability
- Acting as the senior interface with developers, contractors, and authorities
- Leading multidisciplinary consultant teams
- Mentoring and developing project team members
- Maintaining program, quality, and compliance across all stages
Multi-Residential Delivery
- Leads projects from concept to completion with clear ownership of program, quality and outcomes
- Strong command of DA and CC processes, conditions management, and approval pathways
- Produces builder-ready documentation with early identification and management of design risk
- Constructability-led approach across detailing, sequencing, and build methodology
- Leading RFIs, shop drawings, and site issues with clarity and pace
- Strong program awareness and understanding of procurement and construction impacts
- Commercially aware with understanding of feasibility, yield, GFA, and saleable area drivers
- Manages design governance, sign-offs, and decision-making processes
- Pragmatic engagement with authorities and key stakeholders to manage risk and maintain momentum
- Leads multidisciplinary consultant teams across all project stages
- Strong understanding of contracts, novation, and D&C delivery environments
- Sets delivery standards, delegates effectively, and mentors project teams
- Bachelor or Master of Architecture
- Registered Architect in NSW
- DBP Registered Design Practitioner high regarded
- Extensive experience leading multi-residential and mixed-use projects
- Strong knowledge of NSW planning, construction, and regulatory frameworks
- Class 2 experience highly regarded
- Proven ability to manage project teams and senior stakeholders
- Clear communicator with strong organisational and leadership skills
- Strategic and delivery-focused approach to project leadership
