About the Role:
The Operations Manager will play a central role in maintaining smooth studio operations, supporting project teams, and implementing systems and processes that drive productivity and growth. This role reports directly to the Directors and works closely with all levels of staff to ensure operational excellence across the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day studio operations, including workflow, project coordination, and administrative processes
- Implement and maintain efficient systems, policies, and procedures to improve productivity
- Support project teams with resourcing, scheduling, and budgeting
- Manage client communications, contracts, and procurement processes
- Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and industry standards
- Lead and mentor administrative and support staff, fostering a collaborative studio culture
- Assist with HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and staff development
- Contribute to strategic planning and identify opportunities for operational improvement
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role, preferably within architecture, design, or creative industries
- Strong understanding of project management and studio workflows
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Proficiency with project management and studio software; experience with Revit/BIM coordination tools is a plus
- Highly proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively
- A central, influential role in a design-led architectural practice
