Interior Designer - Luxury Residential

Sydney, NSW · Architecture/Engineering

Work on some of Sydney’s most talked-about interior projects from boutique residential spaces to hospitality and community environments that make a lasting impression.

You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary studio celebrated for its thoughtful approach to materiality, sustainability, and the craft of design. This is a role for a designer who wants to stay hands-on and contributing ideas, shaping spatial experiences, and seeing projects through from concept to completion.

With flexible hours and a beautifully appointed Surry Hills studio, you’ll enjoy creative autonomy in a supportive team that values collaboration and quality over hierarchy. Surrounded by the buzz of Sydney’s design precinct, you’ll have the freedom to manage your day while doing work that truly excites you.

What’s in it for you

  • Creative scope: Contribute to interiors that shape how people live, socialise, and connect from concept sketches to construction.

  • Award-winning exposure: Work on projects regularly recognised across industry awards and publications.

  • Balanced growth: Take on more project responsibility and client interaction, while learning from respected senior designers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work across interior design projects from concept through to documentation and delivery

  • Assist in developing design direction, spatial layouts, and finishes selections

  • Prepare documentation packages and coordinate with architects and consultants

  • Attend site meetings, review shop drawings, and maintain design integrity during delivery

  • Present ideas to clients and contribute to design reviews

  • Support and collaborate with the broader team across multiple project stages

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in interior design, ideally across residential, hospitality, or aged-care projects

  • Strong design sensibility and eye for detail, with solid documentation experience

  • Ability to take ownership of project stages and coordinate with consultants and contractors

  • Experience with Revit or ArchiCAD and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and adaptable mindset

  • A passion for crafting interiors that balance creativity, function, and buildability

About the Studio

The team is known for its refined, context-driven design approach and deep commitment to environmental and social sustainability. You’ll be joining a studio where curiosity, craftsmanship, and collaboration are at the core of every project.
