The successful candidate will be responsible for managing early project phases across a range of projects including multi-residential, commercial, hotel, and public work. This includes conducting feasibility studies, preparing planning proposals, coordinating SSDAs and DAs, and guiding design direction through concept development.

Studio Overview

The practice is a design-focused, multidisciplinary studio with a national profile. It operates with a collaborative structure and has a consistent project pipeline across sectors. Employees work closely with senior leadership and have access to clear development frameworks.

The firm is carbon-neutral certified and incorporates sustainability considerations into both its design approach and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead feasibility and early-stage planning activities

  • Prepare and manage Planning Proposals, SSDAs, and DAs

  • Undertake planning compliance assessments and manage authority engagement

  • Develop and direct early-stage Revit documentation

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and planning authorities

  • Support junior staff and contribute to team coordination

Requirements

  • Architectural registration in NSW preferred

  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience

  • Strong knowledge of SEPP, ADG, and NSW planning controls

  • Demonstrated experience in feasibility and front-end design leadership

  • Proficient in Revit (early-phase documentation)

  • Experience in multi-residential or mixed-use projects
