Associate Director QS

This organistation is a Property and Sustainability Consultancy with 6 offices across the Asia-Pacific region. They advise REIT's, Property Developers, Hedge Funds, Super Funds, Banks and Non ADI Lenders.

As well as offering quantity surveying services, they are experts in asset advisory, tax & depreciation. Right now, they are looking for a management level Quantity Surveyor to lead their cost management division.

The Role

They are looking to appoint an Associate Director, or Associate ready to take the next step, with the ability to lead project teams across multiple existing projects.

This organisation has a very supportive culture and are committed to investing in their staff to enable them to reach both their career and personal goals.

In this role you will have direct interface with the national executive team. The entire exec team is well connected in the Australian construction industry, and they can offer you an immense level of support and guidance as you develop your career and industry profile.

The role will require the new AD to build on the existing relationships and reputation that has been carefully nurtured over the past 20 years.

The ideal candidate will be a natural leader who can offer a new perspective to this established business. Experience of the NSW market is esential for this role as this AD position offers a gateway to a Director level role (with equity) once established.

This position would suit an AD looking for a clear run to Director level, or an Associate QS who is ready to step up.

Required skills

  • Minimum 10 years post qualification experience as a QS.
  • Client interface and delivery experience.
  • Strong technical experience in all aspects of Quantity Surveying.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to thrive under pressure and meet multiple, conflicting deadlines in a calm and professional manner.
  • Strong team leadership and motivational skills.
  • Strong negotiation and reporting writing skills.
  • Proactive, a problem solver and able to work autonomously.
  • MRICS or MAIQS preferred
